The entrance hall of this stately home felt dated and the red carpet was thread bare.
A vast entrance area with daily foot traffic would benefit from a stunning hard wood floor. The wall opposite the entrance became the main focal point - creating a statement and feeling of grandeur.
Natural and artificial light are both function and aesthetic considerations in every design. Although this is a large entrance hall – there is very little natural light. The mirror and the use of the white crisp wall paint enhance and reflect the light from the windows on either side of the main entrance.
